As you are now probably well aware, MapleStory had an unscheduled maintenance on July 14th during which the Explorer Rings you earned on July 11, 12, or 13 were lost.

Though we cannot retrieve the lost rings, we are reopening the Explorer's Ring event for a week from July 21st to July 27th to help make up for your loss.
We wish to see you earn back your ring and hope that the ongoing 2x EXP and Drop event helps you get it back faster.

Thank you for being patient with us throughout the ordeal.

Still dont understand why they couldnt just extend it with the rest of the events they did extend. Unless they extend those events again, that means you will NOT have the Golden Temple to help power level your Explorers to 50. Even if you like CPQ, I dont think you can go from lvl 30 to lvl 50 in just over 4 hours, like you can in the Golden Temple. If you can, L>U to trade wins with us!!!

I am glad they are giving us the chance to re-earn what was lost, though!

idk, rob and I were talking about that to, but they say they are 'Extending' the event. To me that means it is still in progress, thus you will not need to start from scratch again, but continue from where you were rolled back to.
Note this is just my interpretation... we will only know when it is actually brought back after the server check.

Hime says that as soon as the time starts, any chars that previously had it IN PROGRESS will have the same stage in progress again. However, I am raging a lot more, because I just noticed that it is July 21-27, meaning DBs are likely pushed back another week.

yup, either they will be pushed back (most likely case), or both will be going on at the same time... one week to complete/recreate your ring mules and/or work on your DB.

Hey Steve, does that mean we shouldnt level those chars before they reinstate the event ("will have the same stage in progress again")? Or does it not matter that we level those chars to lvl 49 this week, wait til the maintenance is done, lvl to 50 that day and get the rings?

I THINK you can level them to 49, but i dont know for sure. I was going to make another ring mule, but i realized we wouldnt have golden temple next week and said screw it.

You can start where you left off as long as your prior quests are completed. All you need is to be able to get the current quest that expired.

So for example if you were training 35-50 and you stopped at completed the lvl 30-40 quest at lvl 45 and the rollback sent you to lvl 40, then you might be screwed because the lvl 30-40 one has now expired and you can't get the new one because you already lvled to 40.

But if you had a more normal experience then you can take your ring mule up to x9 and 99% then talk to Casandra and get & complete the quest then start the next quest.

PG leach at skelle will take four ring mules from 30 to 50 in four hours.

Probably this will go simultaneously with duel blades.

It was a client sided event, so it ended based on the info of our computers. We would have needed to download a patch, where as the others were server sided.

So I got kicked back from lvl 50 to 11, should I stay where I am or level to like 29? Any ideas on that?

i would stay at lvl 11 to be safe.

Ok, what you say makes since Lily, but then nexon is potentially screwing over a lot of ppl this week/weekend with their 2x event.

they are saying to use the current 2x events this week to help you lvl and thus get your rings back faster when the event is reinstated.

-sigh- why didnt they just take the extra time to extend it with the rest of the events.

I can help out once I get mine to 50 also... She only needs 2 lvls and 20%
