So, I went to patch, right? I tried letting it patch itself, but it said it could not establish a connection. So, I went to manual patch, and it seemed to work. Then, it redirected me to the site. So, I pressed Start Game, and the same thing as sentence 2 came up. So... Anyone got advice?

Sounds like you have to wipe out the dir and redownload the whole thing.

I'm 50/50 when it comes to patches.

i am pretty good with upgrades. i can usually get one to work if the other gives me problems, I simply copy the maplestory folder from the good computer to the naughty computer. =)

As stupid as this will sound, I had similar issues as you.
I bit the bullet one day and did my window updates that were sitting in que for a while and after the restart it worked??

Did you try that?
